According to The Daily Time of Pakistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which is the media wing of the Pakistan Army, has referred to the events that occurred on May 9 as a “dark chapter” in the history of Pakistan. The ISPR issued a statement in Urdu on Wednesday regarding the protests that took place after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stating that the protests specifically targeted army property and installations. The military’s media wing made it clear that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands, and justified Imran Khan’s arrest by citing the National Accountability Bureau’s statement and the law, as per the news report.
