Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah held a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday, stating that the recent violence by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was pre-planned. He expressed regret over the destruction of the fighter jet of MM Alam, which he said is a pride of Pakistan. The minister stated that PTI should be banned, but it requires a due legal process. He said that the government has already pointed out that Imran Khan is pursuing politics of hatred, and urged the public to use their power of vote to remove him from politics. Rana Sanaullah revealed that corruption of sixty billion rupees was unearthed in the Al-Qadir Trust case and that Imran Khan deceived his cabinet. He mentioned that huge numbers of people are coming to participate in a protest the following day, and due to the expected turnout, PDM Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman was requested to hold the protest outside the red zone.
