TDTOP Reporter Former US President Donald Trump is facing 37 criminal charges related to his alleged handling of classified documents after leaving the White House, including top secret files on US nuclear and security programs, according to allegations made public in Friday.

The indictment alleges that on at least two occasions, Trump showed classified documents about US military operations to people without security clearance. One of the documents was an “invasion plan” against another country drafted by a military official, according to the indictment.

Of the 37 charges, 31 of them involved the willful interception of national security information. Other counts relate to allegations of conspiracy, obstruction and misrepresentation. In total, the charges could land Trump in prison for up to a year if convicted.
