In a significant operation conducted in Balochistan, the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) successfully seized contraband items worth a staggering $136 million, as reported by ARY News.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Coast Guards, the operation was carried out in Kapkapar, Balochistan, based on credible information. During the raid on a vacant house, the PCG team made a remarkable discovery, recovering a substantial amount of illicit substances.
The seized contraband items included 5,166 kilograms of high-quality hashish, 274 kilograms of crystal ice, and 53 kilograms of heroin. These illegal substances, with a combined value of $136 million in the international market, were intended for smuggling abroad.
The spokesperson further stated that a case has been registered following the confiscation of the contraband items, highlighting the gravity of the operation and the authorities’ commitment to combatting the drug trade.
In separate actions, the Pakistan Coast Guards also intercepted and seized significant quantities of contraband items in Balochistan. At the Windar Khari check post, during a routine inspection of a passenger van, a total of 37 kilograms of hashish was recovered, contributing to the ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
