In a recent interview published on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin disclosed that he presented the members of the Wagner Group, a mercenary organization, with the chance to continue their service in Russia following their failed uprising. Putin, who was interviewed by the Russian newspaper Kommersant, revealed that during a meeting held last month with approximately thirty fighters and the founder of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, he made several proposals, one of which included the option for them to remain together and serve in Russia despite the rebellion against the country’s military leadership.
