Chaudhry Shujaat, a seasoned politician and leader of the PML-Q, has urged his erstwhile coalition colleagues, the PPP and PML-N, to avoid fighting since “this is not in the country’s interest.”

The senior politician made his comments during a meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday, when they discussed Pakistan’s political and economic climate.

Shujaat raised worries about the continued political tensions between the two main political parties, whose party was a part of the last coalition administration in Islamabad.

In response to the senior politician, Zardari claimed that his party had not taken any action like to that.

In order to avoid getting into a fight with anyone, he said, his party is speaking in accordance with the Constitution and current events.
