Pakistan aiming for a successful start at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The Green Shirts, having arrived in the city last month, seized the opportunity for training and participated in two warm-up games to adapt to the local conditions.

This marks the first occasion in seven years that a Pakistan men’s side has landed in India, making the team’s presence significant. The team, stationed in Hyderabad for a week, expressed satisfaction with their preparations, having utilized practice matches to experiment with different combinations and ensure versatility among players.

Babar, the team’s captain, emphasized the team’s strengths in both batting and bowling. He noted the consistent performance of the batting lineup from top to bottom, with every player taking up responsibility. While fast bowling has traditionally been a stronghold, the spinners have also shown promise, especially in the middle overs, since their arrival in India.

As they face the Netherlands today, it marks almost 11 years since Pakistan played an ODI on Indian soil. Additionally, the team has not engaged in a 50-over international match in Hyderabad since 1987. Babar and his squad are optimistic and committed to maintaining the positive momentum they’ve built during their stay in India
