According to international media reports, a significant number of unauthorized pilgrims, estimated to be more than 159,000 individuals, have arrived in Makkah for Hajj this year, bypassing the required legal permits. Concurrently, authorities in Saudi Arabia have apprehended 83 individuals masquerading as Hajj instructors.Mohammad Al-Bassami, the Director of Public Security in Saudi Arabia, revealed that the crackdown on fraudulent Hajj mentors has resulted in the arrest of 83 individuals. Additionally, over 159,188 pilgrims without proper permits have been identified and subsequently deported from the holy city.Furthermore, law enforcement officials have taken action against 5,868 foreign nationals who attempted to perform Hajj without the necessary permits. These individuals were found to be in violation of residence, employment, and border security regulations.Mohammad Al-Bassami further disclosed that nine individuals involved in illegally facilitating the transportation of Hajj pilgrims have been apprehended. Moreover, authorities turned back 109,118 vehicles at the checkpoints located outside Makkah to prevent unauthorized entry.The Saudi Arabian government, in its commitment to ensuring the sanctity and safety of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, continues its rigorous efforts to enforce the regulations surrounding Hajj permits and maintain the integrity of the sacred event.
