NAROWAL-TDTOP In an appalling incident reported from the precincts of Thana Saddar, an attempted rape on a widow has sent shockwaves through the community of Mohalla Rana. The victim, a resident of Mohalla Rana, works in households to support her five children. On June 17, 2023, while washing clothes on the rooftop of a village house, she fell victim to an act of attempted rape by a notorious local named Babar Ali, son of Talib Ali.The accused, Babar Ali, forcibly attempted to sexually assault the widow and subjected her to physical violence before fleeing the scene, leaving the traumatized woman in distress. Overwhelmed by the ordeal, the victim promptly lodged a complaint at Thana Saddar seeking justice for the heinous crime committed against her.
