Recent Developments in Ukraine: Russian Authorities Claim a Ukrainian Drone Strikes Government Buildings in Moscow

Croatia’s Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced on Monday that $1.1 million has been allocated for demining Ukrainian agricultural lands.

The United Nations humanitarian office revealed that the appeal for $3.9 billion in humanitarian aid for Ukraine remains less than 30% funded.

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has signed an agreement with Turkish company Baykar to establish a service center for drone repair and maintenance in the country, as stated by a ministry official on Monday.

Russian officials reported that a Ukrainian drone struck the 21st floor of a high-rise building in Moscow on Tuesday, with two other drones being shot down near the city’s outskirts by Russian air defenses.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed on Telegram that the building targeted was the same one attacked by a Ukrainian drone on Sunday.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the Tuesday attack.

While Ukraine typically does not acknowledge attacks within Russian territory, these incidents have been increasing in frequency.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Moscow seems to be adapting to a state of full-fledged war.

The glass-facade building that was hit houses the government’s ministries of digital development, economy, and industrial development.”
