ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has opted to engage in discussions with prominent political entities, including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), concerning the anticipated date of the upcoming general elections, as revealed by sources to  TDTOP  News on Tuesday night.

As per the sources, the consultations with the political parties will take place individually, encompassing discussions about the election roadmap and matters pertaining to delimitation and voter registries.

The sources added that the ECP’s interaction with the political parties is set to commence within the coming days.

The significant political groups slated for meetings with the electoral oversight body comprise the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).
