All About America examines American history, culture, politics, trends, ideas, and tourist destinations.

According to a recent poll of 3,358 immigrant adults, immigrants in America are more upbeat than Americans who were born here, despite whatever difficulties they may encounter.

They remarked, “I realize there are difficulties here in the United States, but it’s far better than where I came from. Shannon Schumacher, a senior survey analyst at KFF, a nonprofit organization specializing in health policy, formerly known as the Kaiser Family Foundation, says, “And I have this belief that things will be better for my children’.” “Whether that’s their education, their safety, or their economic opportunities — on a number of measures, they think that they’re better off and their children are better off.”

Between April 10 and June 12, 2023, KFF and the Los Angeles Times newspaper collaborated to conduct the study. Respondents completed surveys online, through mail, and over the phone. Any of the ten languages that are most often spoken in the country—English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Haitian-Creole, Arabic, French, and Tagalog—could be used to respond to the questions.
