The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry Sharif, has denied rumors of top army officials resigning and disobeying Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir, as reported on social media. Speaking on a news show, Maj Gen Sharif reiterated that the army leadership supported democracy and rejected the possibility of martial law being imposed in the country. He also stated that no army official had resigned or disobeyed the COAS’s orders and that the armed forces of Pakistan remained united despite internal and external disturbances and conspiracies.
